The renovation phase feels particularly long because we went straight from a Corona-restricted operation into the construction phase. Since spring 2023, Mona Mare has been undergoing a comprehensive renovation. After time-consuming demolition work, the expansion of the approximately 7,000-square-meter building is now underway. Compared to a 200-square-meter single-family house, whose renovation might take a year, the three-year renovation period for Mona Mare doesn’t seem quite as long anymore.
In the “City for Everyone,” Mona Mare will continue to be a swimming pool for everyone. There will be expansions for children and teenagers, as well as facilities for older visitors. In the new Mona Mare, you can look forward to a 30-meter wave pool, a second large slide, two additional children's slides, an expanded children's play area with a spray park, a stair entry into the 25-meter pool, massage showers, a waterfall, the redesign and expansion of all indoor auxiliary areas, an outdoor brine pool, a sunbathing deck, and the redesign of the outdoor area at the rear lawn.
The construction work in the leisure area is not yet completed. To provide schools and clubs with the necessary facilities for their swimming lessons as quickly as possible, the completion of the sports area was brought forward. The leisure area will open as soon as possible afterwards.
To make your visit more affordable, our prepaid cards are worth considering. With the Bronze, Silver, and Gold prepaid cards, you receive a 10%, 15%, or 20% discount on the entrance fee. For example, adults pay €6.30, €5.95, or €5.60 instead of €7. This applies to all tickets. The corresponding entrance fee is deducted directly from the prepaid card. All prepaid cards are transferable and redeemable.
For quick, sporty swimming sessions, the Quick Dip - Lunch Break and Quick Dip - Evening tariffs are available. Those swimming Monday to Friday in the evening, from 7:00 p.m., pay €6.00 for adults and €3.50 for youth with the Evening tariff.
